    On twitch.tv, as usual.

  3. The ads are skipped

Your first ad break is on us. Then you decide.

Who decides how many ads you see on Twitch

On Twitch, the streamer sets the dial. In the Ads Manager, monetised channels choose their ad minutes per hour (low, recommended or high), and whether breaks run automatically or manually. Twitch rewards mid-roll ads: every 30 seconds of ads during the stream earns the channel 10 minutes without pre-rolls, and 3 minutes an hour unlocks a 55% net ad-revenue share with no pre-rolls at all.

Beyond full-screen breaks, “stream display ads” are 15-second videos shown in a lower third, a skyscraper or a reverse-L frame around the stream; viewers cannot close them.

Break length is disputed. On 25/06/2026 a creator shared a support reply saying pre-rolls could last up to 90 seconds and mid-rolls up to 4 minutes; Twitch called that inaccurate and said ad pods do not go beyond creator settings (Tubefilter, 28/06/2026).

Turbo, channel subs and Prime: what each one removes

  • Turbo: $11.99 a month in the US, £11.99 in the UK, €11.99 in France, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, CA$13.99 in Canada (Twitch's price list by country). No pre-roll, mid-roll or banner ads, except channel sponsorships and promotions run by streamers; streamers still earn ad revenue from Turbo viewers.
  • Trial: Twitch's Turbo guide offers 7 days free, while twitch.tv/turbo seen from France offered a month on 29/10/2026.
  • Channel subscription: removes most ads on that channel only if the streamer has switched on ad-free viewing for subscribers; doing so can cost the streamer up to about 3% of ad revenue.
  • Prime: Amazon Prime includes a tier-1 sub that does not renew automatically, with the same perks as a paid tier-1 sub. No Twitch page we read says Prime includes Turbo.

Frequently asked questions

How do I watch Twitch without ads?

Install “Replay Block for Twitch” in Chrome or Edge on a computer and open a stream on twitch.tv. Video ads in the player are removed and the stream carries on.

Is it the same as Twitch Turbo?

No. Turbo also works on phones and TVs and adds chat perks. This extension only removes video ads, on a computer, for €5 once.

Does a Twitch subscription remove ads?

Only on that channel, and only if the streamer has turned on ad-free viewing for subscribers. Look for “Ad-free viewing” in the sub benefits.

Does Twitch Turbo remove all ads?

Almost. Twitch says you may still see sponsorships and promotions run by streamers on their channel, and content promoted by Twitch on other pages.

Is Turbo included with Amazon Prime?

No. Prime gives a free tier-1 channel sub (which removes ads only where the streamer allows it). Turbo is a separate subscription.

Is the trial really free?

Yes. Your first ad break is skipped for free. If you want to keep going, you pay €5 once and get lifetime access, with no subscription. Otherwise, remove the extension in one click.

How much does the extension cost?

€5 once, lifetime access, no subscription. Payment goes through ExtensionPay and Stripe; you sign in with your email.

I use AdBlock, uBlock or TTV LOL PRO. What should I do?

Turn them off for twitch.tv, so they don't fight over the player. They stay on everywhere else.

Does it work on a TV, phone or console?

No. Only in Chrome or Edge on a computer (Mac, Windows, Linux, Chromebook).

Is the extension made by Twitch?

No. Replay Block is independent and not affiliated with Twitch or Amazon. Twitch is a trademark of its owner.

What data is collected?

No browsing data. If you buy, your email and payment go through ExtensionPay and Stripe.
